Many countries have their own unique chant. One where crowds scream at every big event or sports match. Unfortunately, Jamaica didn’t have one. To inspire Jamaicans, Pepsi wanted to create a chant that didn’t just cheer everyone around, but also had an uplifting message. Luckily, Jamaicans have the two most self-encouraging words in their demonym: Jama-I-CAN. The chant was created in Tuff Gong Studios and sang by Jamaica’s superstars Shenseea and Ding Dong. It was launched during Jamaica Day.
