In Venezuela, the food scarcity exceeds 80%. In addition a black market has been created, selling first necessity articles in a unsafe and high-priced way. In the middle of the crisis, a barter system was created so people could find essential items. It was launch via Twitter by the Baruta Borough Municipality, due to the fact that Venezuela is the country that uses Twitter the most in Latin America. To make the exchange they only had to write a message on Twitter, #(what they have), followed by what they needed, and end it with #SocialMarket.
